Bigg Boss Malayalam 8: Azif and Tashi take ship command as BB Sailors Dare unfolds

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 has moved into a new weekly challenge built around a ship, a gold mine and shifting responsibilities among the housemates. The October 20 live episode coverage identifies the task as BB Sailors Dare. An eviction-free card is at stake, but the available updates do not establish who ultimately wins it.

The challenge has two connected parts. Some contestants collect pieces of gold from a designated mine, while others occupy a ship and must safeguard what is delivered to them. The ship has a captain who assigns duties and oversees the crew. The reported rules allow no more than six people aboard at a time, including the captain, and provide for leadership to change if the captain leaves the contest. Additional stages involving flags and questions are linked to the potential eviction-free reward.

Early in the task, Mridula took charge of the first ship group, which included Rahul Easwar, Anjali, Nowfina, Aishwarya and Gautham. A separate decision changed that lineup: after Mridula initially selected Vipin, contestants with an earlier task advantage replaced him with Aishwarya. The switch matters because participation in a particular round can affect who has an opportunity to collect, hold or protect gold.

The live account later recorded Mridula asking Aishwarya and Rahul to leave the ship. Mining rounds continued, with players collecting gold and passing it to contestants aboard. In one reported exchange, Kadal Komban gave his collected gold to Nowfina, making her responsible for protecting it.

By the 6:02 pm IST update on October 20, Azif and Tashi had gathered the most gold and were named the new ship captains. That is a reported change of leadership within the task, not a declaration that either contestant has won the overall weekly challenge or the eviction-free card.

The reward has particular significance after Monday's nominations. Episode reporting lists Vipin, Noby, Aishwarya, Vedangi, Nowfina, Rahul Easwar, Anjali and Wikky Thug as facing the latest eviction risk. Tashi is also under an earlier three-week direct-nomination decision. A chance to obtain an eviction-free card could therefore affect the next stage of the competition, although its eventual holder and use remain unconfirmed.

The key distinction for viewers is between progress during the game and its final result. As of the last detailed update reviewed, the mining and ship contest had produced new captains and several changes in crew, but no independently established card winner. Claims about a final winner or guaranteed survival would be premature.
